This magnetic rug kit comes complete with
10 oval magnetic patches that have 9 x 2000 gauss ceramic magnets
north facing (healing & deep penetrating 4 - 5" per magnet)
with an overall coverage area of approx 6" per patch. These
patches come with velcro attached so they can easily be placed exactly where your
horse/pony need magnetic therapy. Also supplied are 10 velcro strips
which can be easily tacked or sewn onto any rug of your choice, as magnets
generate heat due to the increase in circulation a light weight rug,
i.e. a summer sheet is recommended you can always use extra rugs to
keep your horse on top of your magnetic rug, just keep a note of how
warm your horse gets when first using the rug with magnets.
This kit is very versatile as the magnets can be moved to areas that
your horse or pony needs magnetic therapy. Just simply move your adhering
velcro strip! The kit comes with instructions for travelling using
magnets and also a main basic back treatment.

Tara
is an Irish Sport Horse with loads of Irish spirit and very few
manners – likes to be out there doing, little time for all the
niceties of grooming, TLC or chilling round the stable yard!
Feed me, water me, work me then leave me alone!!!
However
over the summer her character changed following an incident in the
stable where she caught her front foot in a hay net and in her efforts
to release the foot, she cut both front legs and pulled the ring
fitting off the wall. After a months rest she came back into
work but was not a happy girl – ears flat back, wasn’t tracking
up, stiff on one rein in particular and looked miserable. Teeth and
saddle checking was done and the vet thought a bout of physio might
help to release the tightness in her back and neck.
But
before the physio came I found Kerry’s site on the internet whilst
investigating magnotherapy. I have already used magnetic boots
with great success; magnetic bracelets on both my husband and mother
again with wonderful results so thought a magnetic rug might help the
horse with her tightness. There was such a choice of products on
the internet and Kerry’s site offered the biggest variety so I rang
her for advice. Within 48 hours my rug kit arrived.
It didn’t take long to sew the Velcro in places along a summer sheet
I had and Tara’s treatment started – 4 hour sessions at a time,
increased over 4 days until she was wearing the rug kit overnight.
After less than a week she began to bounce about the yard wanting to
be noticed, driving her companions (and me) mad with her mischievous
antics and boisterous carry on. Her ridden work is better than
ever and she seems ready to take the world by storm.
I
am convinced that without the rug kit her improvement would not
have been as dramatic and because she is not a horse who likes
pampered it was an easy way to give her TLC without the fuss of
working round her. I will continue to use the rug kit at
